We repair the NEC Versa FM340 at component level, which matters on an older machine where whole replacement boards are no longer easy to come by.
The faults we see most on machines like this are power and charging problems, failed hard drives, damaged screens and hinges, and overheating. Software trouble is just as common: Windows that won't load, viruses, and laptops that have slowed to a crawl.
- Screen and backlight repair
- Keyboard and trackpad replacement
- Power socket and charging faults
- Motherboard repair at component level
- Hard drive, SSD and memory upgrades
- Data recovery from failed drives
- Overheating, fan and cleaning service
- Hinges, casing and cosmetic repair
We begin with an assessment, which costs £45 + VAT. It is a proper tear-down and bench diagnosis rather than a quick look, so it takes time. You then get a quote, and nothing chargeable is done until you agree to it. On an older machine, the quote lets you decide whether the repair is worth doing.
