How soon can you fix my laptop?
It depends on the fault and on whether parts have to be ordered. Once we have assessed the laptop we give you a quote and a timescale together, so you know both before deciding.
How much do you charge?
Every repair starts with an assessment at £45 + VAT. It is a full tear-down and bench troubleshoot, which takes time, and it tells us what has actually failed. We then quote for the repair before doing any chargeable work. Our price list shows the starting price for each type of repair.
What laptop repairs do you offer?
Screens, keyboards, trackpads, batteries and charging faults, hinges and casings, motherboard repair at component level, storage and memory upgrades, virus removal, operating system problems and general servicing. We also provide IT support and networking for offices.
Do you repair all makes of laptop?
Yes. We repair 26 brands and more than 1,700 models, including Apple, Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, Toshiba, Sony VAIO, Samsung and Compaq. If yours isn't in our brand directory, call us with the model number.
Do you supply replacement parts, and are they guaranteed?
Yes. We supply and fit replacement parts, from individual components on the board to screens, keyboards and batteries. Replacement and service parts come with a one-year warranty.
How do I book a repair?
Call 020 7237 6805, email repairs@alertnetworks.co.uk or use the contact form. You can drop your laptop at 80 Willow Walk, London SE1 5SY, Monday to Saturday between 9am and 6pm, arrange a pickup, or post it to us.
Can you recover my data?
In most cases, yes. Data recovery starts with a £79 + VAT assessment. For a single drive, a further £450 + VAT applies only if we recover your data. NAS and RAID recoveries are typically £650 to £1,500 + VAT. See data recovery for details.
How can I pay?
By card over the phone once your quote is confirmed. Businesses with regular work can apply for a credit account.
Do you offer repairs outside the UK?
No. Our service is available throughout the UK only.
