We begin with an assessment, which costs £45 + VAT. It is a proper tear-down and bench diagnosis rather than a quick look, so it takes time. You then get a quote, and nothing chargeable is done until you agree to it. If the files matter more than the laptop itself, we can also recover the data from a drive that has failed.
