The HP Pavilion dv1016AP Notebook PC is an older laptop, and plenty of them are still in daily use. We repair them at our London workshop for home users and businesses, and for customers across the UK by pickup or post.
Screens, keyboards, power sockets, hard drives, fans and hinges are the parts that wear out first on an older laptop, and all of them can be repaired or replaced. Where the fault is on the motherboard itself, we repair it at component level.
- Data recovery from failed drives
- Overheating, fan and cleaning service
- Hinges, casing and cosmetic repair
- Windows repair, virus and malware removal
- Battery replacement
- Screen and backlight repair
- Keyboard and trackpad replacement
- Power socket and charging faults
We begin with an assessment, which costs £45 + VAT. It is a proper tear-down and bench diagnosis rather than a quick look, so it takes time. You then get a quote, and nothing chargeable is done until you agree to it. An SSD in place of the original hard drive is often the single upgrade that makes an older laptop usable again.
